Avoid guessing a server address, changing capital letters or reusing credentials from another service. After submitting the form, give the player time to download the categories and channel list — a first login on a large playlist can take a minute or two.

If the programme guide is empty, use the player's EPG option with the details supplied by your provider, and check that the device's date, time and time zone are set automatically — a wrong time zone makes a perfectly good guide look incorrect.
